PARANOID NARCISSIT STATE
The fact of being potentially scrutinized by an entire network of friends capable of determining our social success or failure, through tools such as, like, comment, reblog, retweet, repin, rate or review, leave us immerse in a paranoid thinking in which we tend to believe that we are constantly being watched and therefore judged by the others.
This exposure results in an excessive self-preoccupation, self-reflection, and self-obsession since in the quest for achieving a reputation among the network of friends, narcissist users will tend to constantly built and re-built a “grandiose view of one’s own talents and a craving for admiration”. The users’ paranoid narcissist state is especially characterized by an excessive preoccupation in one's appearance, the anxiety of being expose and the fear of missing out.
